- Duke University
Two recent Bavarian International School (BIS) alumni are fulfilling their dream: Maya Yelle and Max Holsman (class of 2020) are studying at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Founded in 1838, the private university with 13,000 students and around 2,500 professors is consistently ranked among the most elite US universities.

91 students from 25 different nations received their diplomas from Bavarian International School in June 2020.

The Green Team of BIS as a Dream Team: " The planet's future is in our hands." Around 50 students across all grades at Bavarian International School (BIS) are committed to climate change and sustainability.

To gain experience for life and her profession in the future, Paula Wein, BIS 2020, made a conscious decision to challenge herself with an opportunity to grow as an individual and make her gap year truly worthwhile. The newly graduated BIS Alumna will spend a year working in an HIV hospice in the Kingdom of Lesotho (Africa).

The paths graduates take after BIS are as diverse as the school itself. Some decide to take a voluntary gap year, others set up their first start-up and still others, like Henri van Wasen, go to University to study. Beginning in October, Henri will study Human Sciences at Oxford, one of the best universities in the world. Van Wasen describes Oxford as a university "surrounded by a palpable atmosphere of intellectual wealth, tradition, and zealousness."

Like a magnifying glass, the Corona pandemic reveals what schools must be able to provide in times of crisis and in this era of digitalisation. Innovative, digital-savvy teachers, appropriate devices and platforms, IT competence and customised learning concepts are the key factors for successful Distance and Hybrid Learning at Bavarian International School (BIS). The private all-day school with campuses in Munich-Schwabing and Haimhausen has been investing in educational technology since 2002 – an important basis for being able to switch to a "virtual school" immediately, smoothly and to a high standard of quality in an emergency. Media such as „Süddeutsche Zeitung“ and „Münchner Merkur“ reported on BIS as a leading digital role model school.

How many people do you know who can claim to have built their own tailor-made freeride skis at the age of 15? BIS student Jerome Holland can. In his grade 10 "Personal Project", Jerome decided to take on that challenge through a unique cooperative arrangement with the Pfeilski Manufacture in Ampermoching.

Even in times of the corona crisis, Bavarian International School (BIS) made it possible for the students of grade 12 and their parents to finish their school days in an honourable and joyful way. 91 students from 25 different nations received their high school diplomas today.
- Diversity
The colorful graffiti artwork "Diversity Rocks" welcomes all students, teachers, parents, visitors and pedestrians over 60 square meters at the City Campus of Bavarian International School (BIS) in Schwabing. The Munich artist Johannes Brechter created the mural and it can be admired by anyone from the public who is passing the corner of Leopoldstraße 208 and Wilhelm-Hertz-Straße.

Bavarian International School gAG (BIS) staged its annual Careers Day at the Haimhausen Campus. Around 170 students from grades 10 and 11 had the chance to choose which 4 of the 13 personalities they could interact with. Each of the speakers presented their profession and industry, the best training paths, necessary skills and competences for today's working world.

Standing ovations, applause and tears of joy: 70 primary school students from 27 nations thrilled the audience with this year's theatre production "Neverland" at the Haimhausen Campus of Bavarian International School (BIS).

Ilse Aigner, President of the Bavarian Parliament, visited the Bavarian International School gAG (BIS) at the City Campus in Munich-Schwabing. She was introduced as an official patron of the Friends of BIS e.V..

The Crown Prince Haakon of Norway inspires nearly 170 Grade 6 and 7 BIS students at Global Dignity Day. This event dedicated to dignity, human rights, equal rights and tolerance was celebrated in Germany for the first time ever at the Haimhausen campus of Bavarian International School.
