Friends of BIS Förderverein e.V., a non-profit association, was formed with the sole purpose of financially supporting the Bavarian International School (BIS) in reaching its funding objectives.

Bavarian International School gAG is the successful product of people, companies and the regional government working together to offer a unique educational experience in the heart of Bavaria. Thanks to the support of all these stakeholders, BIS has developed from a small school in a rented office building near the airport to a nearly 1,200 strong student body on two beautiful campuses in Haimhausen and Munich-Schwabing.

We would like to say thank you to the parents, alumni, friends and companies who have supported BIS. In the spirit of our motto, "Believe. Inspire. Succeed." we dedicate these people and institutions as our "Inspirers". They have made an impact and we are grateful for their generosity.

One Family: The Parent-Teacher-Organisation (PTO)

The most common form of support comes from our volunteers. The Parent-Teacher-Organisation (PTO) is the best example of volunteers supporting BIS and we are extremely grateful for their time and energy. In addition to volunteering for the PTO, we are always interested in having parents and alumni come on campus to talk to the students at Assembly or at our Career Day in January. Other ways to support BIS include advising the school in technical matters, e.g. taxes, providing two-week internships for our 10th graders or simply opening doors to persons or institutions that could support the school.

Data submitted from this page can be accessed and processed by our alumni coordinator, admissions, marketing, development and director departments to ensure an ongoing contact. This can be via invitations to BIS events, newsletters or other information sharing. A processing to others (e.g. a communication company) might happen with regards to organizing such events. A processing to third parties, e.g. commercial advertisers, is not intended. Deletion of data will happen on written request.
