Flourishing Personalities
At BIS, we believe that healthy, authentic, responsible young people develop through a broad spectrum of activities outside the classroom. BIS offers a whole universe of creative, sports, social, and community programmes that act as multipliers, encouraging personalities to flourish. Together, as a team, with fun and joy.
Weekly after school activities at BIS range from sports (LIONS teams) and creative projects (music, theatre, art) to the socially engaged programmes "Creativity, Activity, Service" and "Service as Action". For students interested in politics and current events, the globally recognised "Model United Nations" program offers political simulation. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award features a mixture of fitness, scouting and expedition. The prestigious Two Star Award from the Bavarian Ministry of Culture & Education was earned by the BIS Eco School project with its own Green Team.
Individual attention plays an essential role in the well-being of students, which is at the centre of a BIS education. To that end, BIS offers exceptional learning support and pastoral care. The counselling team works closely together with the "English as an Additional Language" department and the Newcomer Centre. Nurses working at both campuses provide an extraordinary level of care. Older children benefit from University and Career Counselling with individual counselling, workshops, university fairs, interview training days and careers days.
