The Role of the Mentor
The role of the mentor is a vital role in the Secondary School. It is critical in assisting the students making their way through the Secondary School years and achieving their full potential.
Mentor Groups and Wellbeing
- Morning registration
- Assembly Week 1 Friday period 1
- One wellbeing lesson per week
Wellbeing is the realisation of one’s physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual potential. The Wellbeing programme has been designed to cover a number of major themes from Grade 6 until Grade12.
Mentors will be working collaboratively with the CAS Coordinator. It is the responsibility of the mentors to be checking that students are fulfilling their service requirements. If they are not, these concerns need to be raised at the fortnightly mentor meetings. Grade 6 - 10 mentors will work with the CAS Coordinator to support students in finding service opportunities and monitoring successful outcomes.
