Parent Community Council
Building a stronger community
One of the strongest first impressions for students and families at BIS is the embrace of the community. The Parent Community Council (PCC) is a key part of the community and is made up of volunteer parents and family members. Their mission is to enrich the overall educational and cultural experiences for all families at BIS, encourage mutual support, and build community across both campuses.
Please visit the PCC page in the BIS Parent Zone for more information on how to get in touch with your child’s Grade representative (and join, if you wish, our popular Grade WhatsApp groups), or your home country’s Language representative (who organise fun social gatherings), or your Area representative (for help and advice with local questions). You can also contact any member of the PCC Executive Committee and join our Facebook pages – the BIS PCC Community is our main page – for more information.
Look out for the PCC’s social gatherings throughout the year, from Orientation Day for new families, to Welcome Coffee, Grade and Language meet ups, picnics and wine and cheese evenings, there is always a fun and welcoming gathering you can join in either campus. We also support a number of diverse Clubs; the very popular Culture Club which organises hikes and excursions, as well as the Men’s Stammtisch.
