The Primary School

City Campus

Welcome to the Bavarian International School City Campus, where we work hard to learn, grow, and make the world a better place each day. We know that as you explore our school, you will see that BIS CC is not only a place where students come to learn traditional content, it is a place where students develop their foundations as positive change agents to the world around them.

Primary school years are an exciting time. We learn about ourselves and the world around us, develop new friendships, and become more independent. Our highly skilled classroom teachers provide challenging instruction in Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Art, while students see specialist teachers for German, Physical Education and Music. BIS CC also supports individual student needs with English as an Additional Language (EAL) teachers and Learning Support teachers. And in order to build community, BIS CC includes programs such as weekly school assemblies, regular field trips, elective programs and a mother tongue program.

At BIS CC we learn to be learners, sharing in the rich experiences of an inquiry based curriculum. Each of our classrooms is staffed with a highly skilled teacher and has a relatively small class size to ensure that our students are supported to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. BIS City Campus is Primary Years Programme (PYP) authorised with the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) which is the foundation of our inquiry-based curriculum. We provide students with a foundation of essential concepts, knowledge, skills and attitudes. By tapping into student interests and passions, learning comes alive.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions about the school and the curriculum, or call admissions to set up a tour.
