The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme at BIS is much more than a curriculum.
Active, curious learners
The Primary School at our Haimhausen Campus develops active, curious, engaged learners, in full alignment with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP), setting the stage for life-long learning.
With the forest at our doorstep, large outdoor spaces for children to enjoy, and state-of-the-art facilities, we know that location matters. Our youngest students enjoy cross-country skiing in winter, tricycle-riding in spring, and exceptional learning environments year-round. Take a look at our learning spaces.
The IBPYP at BIS is more than a curriculum. It is the special feeling students and families have when on campus. One BIS parent said, “It has really opened our eyes to the real priorities and benefits of working with an IB mindset - inquiry, agency, authentic and holistic learning, balance, independence, and autonomy.” An inclusive school with an expert staff, BIS is known as a warm, caring and active international community.
Students are encouraged to develop a “growth mindset” and are given agency; being actively involved in their own learning. With extra emphasis on language learning, non-English speakers quickly gain language proficiency. Our academic excellence is on par with the best schools in the region.
A BIS education is something you can take with you anywhere. With a well-developed sense of ownership for their learning, BIS students tend to be ahead of their peers upon return to their home country. Active, life-long learners transferring easily to their next chapter are the hallmarks of a BIS education.
