The contents of this document are based on thorough educational research, best practice and information obtained from assessment workshops given by the Principal’s Training Centre and the International Baccalaureate Organisation. This document provides the faculty of Bavarian International School (BIS) with models of effective assessment and reporting practices. In addition it fulfills accreditation requirements set by the European Council for International Schools (ECIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), as well as the standards, principles and practices prescribed by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) and the University of Cambridge International Exams (IGCSE).
This document contains an appendix which contains assessment procedures and examples of assessment practices that are specific to the Primary School and Secondary School.
