Mission

Inspiring young minds and challenging young individuals to achieve their intellectual and personal potential within a caring international environment.

Vision

The Bavarian International School is a contemporary and dynamic school educating students from over 40 nations. Our dedicated faculty challenges students to pursue an education that embraces the IB learner profile. We are regarded for our inclusive, supportive and international approach to learning.
We aspire to be a school from which students gain a sense of personal accomplishment, self-confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. By fostering critical thinking through the inquiry process, our students develop a solid and competitive foundation for their future schooling and endeavours. We value a strong partnership where parents contribute to the education and success of their children. Together we create a community which promotes civic responsibility.

Inspiring young minds and challenging young individuals....

  • We challenge our students to think critically, to explore knowledge, to question facts upon finding them, to make responsible decisions and to approach learning with enthusiasm.
  • We foster a well-qualified, highly-skilled and approachable faculty, and expect and support their professional development.
  • We share the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate programme in fostering active, compassionate and life-long learners.
  • We prepare our students to make successful transitions to other schools and universities internationally.

To achieve their intellectual potential and to develop a sense of personal responsibility

  • We inspire our students to strive for excellence in all aspects of their development: academic, intellectual, creative, social, physical and emotional.
  • We provide individual support to enable each of our students to achieve their potential and reach beyond their expectations.
  • We encourage students to work both independently and in cooperation with one another.
  • We expect our students to become productive individuals and principled world citizens.

Within a caring international environment......

  • We respect every individual and every culture in our community. We believe that our diversity of cultures, languages and experience is a source of strength, inspiration and knowledge.
  • We seize the opportunity to explore German culture firsthand and provide all students with German language instruction.
  • We encourage parental involvement in our programmes and community life as this is essential for the success of the individual child and of our school.
  • We promote the exchange of ideas and an atmosphere of openness amongst students, faculty, parents and administration.

We expect that our mission and vision
will be evident in what we say
what we do and
how we relate with one another.
